Blue Line Innovations, LLC (BLI) was founded by former law enforcement officer Mark Hutchinson in Chattanooga, TN. Having served as police officer and law enforcement administrator, he established BLI to provide unique technologies and tools to the law enforcement community.
What sets BLI apart from every other company, however, is the heartbeat at the center; a deep respect for the sacrifice of the fallen. On December 11, 1991, fellow officer and friend, Allen Lipford was gunned down in front of the Sheriff’s Department. It’s a day that changed the lives of countless people, and created a fire that still burns today; a fire to ensure that the lives of those that pay the ultimate sacrifice are never forgotten.
Shortly after Allen’s death, Mark wrote “They Will Be Remembered” for Allen’s mother; a song meant to bring honor and glory to our fallen. The University of TN (UT) worked with Mark to produce a memorial video. The song was selected to be performed at the National Police Memorial Candlelight Vigil in Washington DC.
“The Thin Blue Line” was the second song Mark authored in honor of the fallen, and again UT produced a memorial video. This song, too was performed a different year at the National Candlelight Vigil.
Since, Mark has continued to write similar songs which are used nationally. Songs such as “Unforgotten Heroes of the Badge” which was performed at the Nation’s Capital during the National FOP Ceremony and “Let These Walls Keep Our Heroes Alive” in 2017. He has been fortunate to take part in memorial ceremonies in throughout the country and continues to write.
Today, Blue Line Innovations supports many law enforcement memorial programs and is dedicated to their purpose. Even the company name was selected in their honor. Through efforts such as the placement of memorials at police departments, city halls, and courthouses, it is our hope that every fallen officer will be remembered by each person that walks in and out the doors of those buildings every day.
At Blue Line Innovations, our purpose is to use the gifts God has given us to work and prosper so we can give back. The legacy of these officers will live on through the lyrics and music and the dedication of Blue Line Innovations, as we strive to never let them be forgotten.
